My Pet Promise

About My Pet Promise

Over the next year, nearly 4,000 animals will enter the City of Columbia Animal Shelter. At least half of those will be returned to their current owners, adopted by new owners, or transferred to outside rescue groups who will adopt them elsewhere. For the other half, the future is still uncertain.

But there is an answer -- Adoption, donation, spay/neuter.

The Animal Mission is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and cats in the Midlands, through an aggressive campaign to offer free and discounted spay/neuter procedures throughout Richland County.

It’s paying off, but we have much more work to do.

How You Can Help

You can help us break the cycle by taking the My Pet Promise pledge. By pledging a small amount each month, you can help fund The Animal Mission’s ongoing spay/neuter program. Spay/neuter is the foundation to long term success in the mission to achieve No-Kill status for our community.
