About Fill The Red Truck

Since 2009, the annual Fill The Red Truck supply drive organized by Shandon neighbors and friends has provided over 19,000 pounds of dog food, 8.000 pounds of cat food, and countless other pet care and cleaning supplies for the benefit the City of Columbia Animal Shelter. They've also collected more than $45,000 in monetary donations for supplies and other shelter services, such as spay and neuter.

Our community Pet Food Pantry was launched during the COVID19 crisis to assist any pet owner in need, and remains open today to help prevent shelter intake in situations where pet owners just need a little short-term help.

A donation of $25 will provide a month of food for a 1 cat household
A donation of $50 will provide a 4 weeks of puppy/kitten milk replacement formula
A donation of $75 provides a month of medications/supplements for pets with special needs
A donation of $100 will provide three months of food for a 2 dog household
